I am a spiritual teacher, adjunct Psychology Professor, yogi, with a passion for writing. I have spent the last nineteen years studying and researching mindful approaches to healing the mind and body.
Once my fourth book, The Four Gifts of Anxiety was endorsed by The National Association for Mental Health, I knew there was no turning back. Soon after, Choosing Love, The Conscious Parenting Guide To Childhood Anxiety, Mantras Made Easy, and eventually the Emotional Detox series would unfold.
Eight books later here is what I believe: Your emotions matter, processing them matters more.
The C.L.E.A.N.S.E Method,™ featured in Emotional Detox and Emotional Detox for Anxiety, was a game changer. The effectiveness of this method has led me to a mission, of getting as many people feeling again as I possible can. Why, because I believe it is the antidote to inner and outer peace.
A little more about me….
I have a Masters in Education as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. I have been a featured presenter for PESI® Behavioral and Mental Health Education for Professional Credit and I currently work as an adjunct Psychology Professor at Cape Cod Community College. I LOVE being an adjunct Psychology Professor, it keeps me on my toes while providing me with the space to write and to work with private clients. I am a professional blogger for Spirituality & Health, expert on Simple Habit App, and founder of Emotional Detox Coaching, ™ Emotional Detox Podcast and the C.L.E.A.N.S.E Method.™ One of my favorite things is to teach yoga and lead workshops and retreats. Teaching at Kripalu Health & Yoga center is a dream come true and kind of surreal since I grew up in that area.
I have been teaching yoga/meditation for nineteen years, four of those years I spent owning and operating a thriving yoga studio which I proudly relinquished before the birth of my third daughter. Today, you can find me traveling, teaching and leading Emotional Detox workshops and retreats. Should you attend a workshop, don’t be surprised if you get to meet one of my daughters or KB, my husband, my love for the past twenty-one years.
