Sherianna is a passionate educator, writer and speaker. She is the author of eight books including Emotional Detox: 7 Steps to Releasing Toxicity & Energizing Joy and her forthcoming book, Emotional Detox for Anxiety (available for pre-order late Fall 2019). She has published over seventy five articles. Her work has  been featured in Psychology Today, Mantra Yoga & Health, Mind Body Green and Yoga Journal Online. Her book The Four Gifts of Anxiety was endorsed by The National Association of Mental Health. Choosing Love was listed under the top 10 New Year “must reads” with Metro US 2016, while The Conscious Parenting Guide for Overcoming Childhood Anxiety found its way in the top 20 books sales in Barnes and Noble 2016.   

Sherianna has a Masters in Education as well as a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  She presently teaches for PESI® Behavioral and Mental Health Education for Professional Credit and is an adjunct Psychology Professor at Cape Cod Community College.  She is a professional blogger for Spirituality & Health, where you can also find her Emotional Detox courses. She offers Emotional Detox retreats at Kripalu Health & Yoga center.

 Sherianna has been teaching yoga/meditation for nearly sixteen years,  four of those years she spent owning and operating a thriving yoga studio which she proudly relinquished before the birth of her third daughter.  She is known for her ability to support emotional flow through a vibrant yoga practice through the art of story telling, laughter and connection.  She is also certified in Pilates Mat (levels 1, 2 & 3), Trance Dance and PiYo. 

Previous to teaching yoga she was a School Psychologist in an elementary school setting. She eventually branched off teaching parent education classes all over New England. Today, She continues her work in the education field speaking to organizations such as The Massachusetts Teacher Association about supporting families and children with anxiety.
